Yapping - A long overdue update...

Hello everyone, long time no see !

How long has it been now ? Two ? Three years ?
Either way it has been a long time with little to no real drawing or festival.

Past me would have apologized for that... but honestly after those brutal years i don't think i should.

To be perfectly honest with you, i had been working a mentally draining and morally destroying 9 to 5 job that had taken over most of my day to day life.

Something i don't wish anyone to have to go through.

Now i have changed job to a place where i feel more welcome and happier : It is still somewhat of a 9 to 5 but this time i feel at home and free.

And with freedom came time to decide about the future of the festival and of myself.

During those years away i had been working on my game for a long time.
Hoping that i would be done with it soon so i can show the world how much effort i have been putting to finally release something.
But as you can imagine : I didn't finish it.

Or rather i haven't finished it yet.

The game i have been working on Sapphire Romance is to me the culmination of a journey i had taken long before i became an artist.
So i don't plan on giving up on that creation - i just need time.

But this time i decided to change how i did things, i'll do what i've been wanting to do for a while : Draw without restraints, and write all that i want.

Will it make the game come out earlier ?
No idea.

Will it make it better ?
No clue.

But at least i decided to be myself on that : Work on things as much as i can without pushing me to the limit.

So this is a new start.
Not a festival with drawing every friday - but not a deafening silence of multiple years.
I'll just make post every week - weather i have things to say or not.
So feel free to drop by every friday to see what i have to say or if i finally posted a drawing.

Talking about drawings, i also need to explain how i am changing things now.

Because i need this new beginning after so long i have decided to review what platforms i'll be using and in what capacity.

So i have chosen three platform where you can see my stuff :

• Pixiv : https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/36276246 > My beloved. It's clunky but it keeps my drawings viewable and nice.
• Blogger : https://atelier-lonnesdev.blogspot.com/ > My new-ish website where i'll post my stuff and ramble on for paragraphs in the news.

I'm throwing away DeviantArt, Newground and Pillowfort (which i never really used).

Also for now i have made the executive decision to private all the drawings i had made in the past in my pixiv.
As weird as it is, I want to start over fresh - Not tied to what i used to do or the legacy of the effort i had deployed before.

I'll un-private them at a later point once i'll feel more at ease with my current efforts.

To be honest, i feel rusty after not drawing for so long.

Granted - I was always not very good at drawing - but years of "inactivity" have left me in a rusty state.

So i want to get back to my old self first.

For now...
I'm not gonna post this update to Twitter.
Not until i have some drawing to add to it !

One of the few things i did during my Hiatus)
